Kenneth W. Lemons
Kenneth W. Lemons, 79, of Walton, Indiana passed away April 20, 2024, peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on September 6, 1944, to the late James and Ruby Lemons. Kenneth married Pamela Coyner on October 1, 1977, and she survives.
He graduated from Kokomo High School and went to work at Delco Electronics and retired from there. After retirement he enjoyed flipping houses, going out to eat, camping, and mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren. His family was everything to him. He treasured each and every one of them.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Pam Lemons; his children Jason Lemons (Tonya), Brad Fearnow (Kristie), Lori Gallaher, and Lisa Deeds; his brother Joe Lemons of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren Noah, Breann, Brooke, Ben, Joe, Katelyn, Samantha, Josh, Alexis, Lauren, Allison, and Marco; his great grandchildren Charlett, Jaxyn, and Terrance; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Kenneth is preceded in death by his siblings James Jr., Robert, Jack, Richard, Gladys Sue Clark (Gene), Myrtle Mae and Betty Sue.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
Harry Jay Warren
Harry Jay Warren of Huntington, IN., age 77, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in his home after complications of kidney failure on April 20, 2024.
Jay was born in Waukegan, IL on August 23, 1947, to Harry Delmer Warren and Margaret (Hanon) Warren. Jay graduated from Zion- Benton High School in 1965 and continued his studies at Bethel College, now Bethel University, and the Moody Bible Institute where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Theology with a minor in Christian Education.
Jay was a faithful servant of our Lord and devoted all his adult life to understanding and sharing The Word.
In 1974 he was Ordained as a pastor in the Christian Catholic Church, Zion, IL. and was subsequently assigned to the Zion Mountain View Chapel, Phoenix, AZ. Upon completion of service there, Jay returned to Zion and became a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Illinois.
Eventually he moved to Fort Wayne, IN. and later Huntington by working as a computer programmer and shipping clerk prior to retirement. Jay then used this extra time to further serve in his church with a variety of responsibilities in the sound room and usher.
For many years Jay participated in the community theatre as both an actor and member of the stage lighting crew. However, his hobby was genealogy, actually more of a passion, to trace his family roots. Jay was able to learn family details dating back to the 16th century and proudly kept accurate records. He delighted in sharing stories of the surprises and details he uncovered in his research.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Schrock) Warren; daughter, Michelle (Blaine) McNeil; son, Daniel; and son-in-law, James (Kelly) Fruits. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Karen (Michael) Farmer and Krista Lyth, along with seven grandchildren: Andrew Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, Matthew McNeil, Malachi Fruits, Mylee Fruits, Max Fruits and Seth Clark.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Anna Warren, Ransom Hanon, Zella Hanon Laurent, Claude Laurent; his parents, Harry and Margaret Warren; a daughter, Christie Fruits; and sister, Judy Richards.
Hasler & Stout Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation. In lieu of flowers, Jay requested memorial contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or his grandson Seth’s Eagle Scout project, FairmountCamp.org, Fairmount, IN.
Julie S. Arnold
Julie S. Arnold, 67, Kokomo, passed away at 8:00 am Friday, April 19, 2024, at her home. She was born July 31, 1956, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late John & Naomi (Kenworthy) McCleary. On August 16, 1975, in Kokomo, she married Doug Arnold who survives.
Julie was a 1974 graduate of Kokomo High School. She completed two years at Indiana University and worked for Kokomo School Corp for 18 years. Julie was a seamstress, piano player, ballet dancer, youth theatre director, and loving mother and grandmother.
Along with her husband, Doug, Julie is also survived by her children, Ian (Sonia) Arnold, Adam (girlfriend, Kelley) Arnold and Emily L (boyfriend, Steve) Arnold; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Teagan, Wyatt, and Will Arnold.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents.

Larry Dean McKinney
Larry Dean McKinney, 81, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on October 29, 1942, peacefully passed away after a short battle with cancer on April 18, 2024. He was surrounded by many loved ones.
Larry spent his younger years in Indianapolis after graduating from Shortridge High School. He eventually relocated his family to Kokomo, IN, in 1980 after he received a promotion with the United States Postal Service. He rose through their ranks retiring as Postmaster to pursue his true passion, the world of auto racing.
He was well known for designing, building, and driving his own race cars. He ran his last drag race and won at the age of 80. He nurtured the talents of many young drivers providing them their first opportunity to race. His memorable contributions to auto racing include time spent with Indy race car teams, a top fuel dragster team and the Ferrari open wheel driver developmental team.
Larry remained active and adventurous. He enjoyed taking long bicycle rides and daily walks. At the age of 78, he rode the entire 41-mile Nickel Plate Trail. He continued to challenge himself with new experiences like hot air ballooning in Sedona, riding an air glider over the Grand Canyon and zip lining through the Smoky Mountains.
Alongside his beloved partner, Joan, he wintered in Florida. Their home became a hub of camaraderie with family and friends gathering to bask in the sunshine, savor his delicious meals and raise a toast to life's blessings. Larry loved his view of the ocean and always had his binoculars ready to view a passing ship, marine life or a rocket launch. He would pass the binoculars to everyone around him so they could share it, too.
Larry was a true gentleman and will be remembered for his ingenuity, remarkable achievements and zest for life. His legacy of love, adventure, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents Vernon B. McKinney (1908-1982) and Valerie A. (Ephramson) McKinney (1915-2009); and his sister Janice F. Buse (McKinney) (1947-2023).
He is survived by his devoted long-term partner Joan McReynolds who stood by his side throughout their adventures and journeys, and cherished family and friends including his children David A. (Angela), Deborah L. Foster (Thomas), Daniel W. (Jami), Douglas L. (Stacy) McKinney; brothers Donald W. (Dodi) and Dennis L. (Debbie) McKinney; grandchildren John Sullivan, Megan Donovan (Steven), Amanda McKinney (Jacob), Zachary McKinney, Rebecca Detro, Randi McKinney, Emily Paul (Adam), Matthew McKinney, Sarah Detro, Rachel Detro, and Abbey McKinney; three great-grandchildren; and stepdaughter Erin E. Day.
In accordance with Larry's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation services will be provided by Ellers Mortuary.
Tamara "Tammy" Hamilton
Tamara "Tammy" Hamilton, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024, in Kokomo, Indiana. Born on May 26, 1958, in Decatur, Illinois.
Tammy was a graduate of Pioneer High School's class of 1976. She worked at Wilson Foods, transitioned into the car sales industry, and eventually found her calling in the world of jewelry. Tammy co-owned and operated Arnold & Hamilton Jewelry in Peru, Indiana, where her keen eye for beauty and her warm customer service won her the hearts of many.
Beyond her professional life, Tammy had an unwavering love for rescue animals and provided them with a loving home and a second chance at life. Her competitive spirit found joy in the game of euchre. Music was another source of happiness for Tammy. She was an avid fan of Aerosmith, whose songs were the soundtrack to many cherished moments in her life.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Brewer, daughter, Jessica Bonnell (Brandon), and her only granddaughter, Baci Bonnell, sister, Gina Kennell (Noel), and nephews, Cory and Kyle.
Tamara was preceded in death by her beloved stepfather, Charlie Brewer, father, Richard "Dick" Scrivner, and his wife, Marilyn.
