Job Title: Worship Ministry Resident

Ministry/Department: School of Ministry

Reports to: Worship Leader

Objective

The Church of Eleven22\u00AE School of Ministry Residency Program is a comprehensive, two-year leadership development program equipping and training individuals called to full-time ministry for a lifetime of ministry effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve the Worship Ministry team in helping all people discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Weekly worship planning and strategy meeting
  • Weekly band rehearsal and discipleship meeting
  • Weekly worship gathering responsibilities
  • Weekly tasks as assigned by direct report including special events, projects, book assignments, logistics, etc.
  • Deepen your relationship with Jesus and Eleven22
  • Weekly School of Ministry training
  • Weekly meeting with direct report
  • Attend \u201CAll Staff\u201D meeting (entire church staff) on scheduled Tuesdays
  • Weekly relationship building with staff, contractors, serve staff and congregation
  • Bi-monthly campus staff meeting
  • Monthly Worship team discipleship meeting

Education and Experience

The School of Ministry is designed to be a transitional step from college into full-time ministry, therefore a college degree is strongly preferred (or entering into junior year of college).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position of up to 25 hours per week. Days and hours of work are varied during the week and during services on the weekend. There are required meetings on Tuesdays (11am-12:00pm) and Wednesday (9:30-11:30am).

The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Work Environment

This position will mostly work out of the campus you are assigned, with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday mornings which will be out of Central and the San Pablo campus and occasionally Wednesday night student services.\u00A0 You will be provided an iPad and access to needed programs.

Physical Demands

This position requires you to be on your feet for several hours at a time during services on the weekends.

Ministerial Exception

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).

Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti-discrimination laws. Please see the Human Resources Ministry team if you have questions on whether you are subject to the ministerial exception.
